May 2022: Metrohm 914 portable instrument for measure pH, conductivity and dissolved oxygen with Lumitrode, optical sensor based on the fluorescence principle

 


February 2022: Metrohm Titrosampler 855 with 5 mL burette Dosimat 805, pH combined glass electrode Aquatrode Pt1000 and software Tiamo used for determinations of pH and titrations of total alcalinity according to Gran method and two end point (pH 4.5 e 4.2) method.

 


Jenuary 2022: SAFAS UV mc2 double symmetrical beam spectrophotometer range 185-1050 nm bandwidth 2 nm with SP2000 software v. 7.8


Idronaut OCEAN SEVEN CTD 310 and CTD 304 probes with REDAS 5 software with a temperature and electrical conductivity profile of Lake Maggiore (0-370 m)

Jenuary 2022: Idronaut OCEAN SEVEN CTD 310 probe which is added to the CTD 304 multiparameter probe for measuring depth, water temperature, electrical conductivity and dissolved oxygen with optical electrode with acquisition frequency up to 8 data per sec. This probe is used to collect profiles along lake water column up to 500 m depth with deployment velocity of 1m/s. This instrument substituted the previously used mercury-filled thermometer that were used to collect temperature data along the water column.


March 2021-2022: Dionex Integrion HPIC a new Thermo Fischer Scientific chromatographic line with AS-AP autosampler that joins the two Dionex ICS3000 series, all controlled by Chromeleon v. 7.2. The integrated design of the Dionex Integrion HPIC system delivers high performance in a small footprint, saving critical bench space while ensuring convenient access to all components for maintenance. The Dionex Integrion HPIC system pump features a variable flow, serial-piston design that delivers consistent flow rates with low pulsation, resulting in low detector noise. By increasing the pressure tolerance of the pump up to 6000 psi, and allowing linear flow rates from 0.001 to 10 mL/min, the Dionex Integrion HPIC system can achieve substantially shorter run times, providing increased throughput and productivity. It is currently configured for cation determination with CG12A-CS12A 5 µm columns.

July 2017: the software Chromeleon, actually used for the two chromatographic lines Thermo Fischer Scientific series Dionex ICS3000, has been updated from version 6.8 to 7.2.


AS AP e ICSJanuary 2016: a new autosampler AS-AP has been added (for cation determination) has been added to the double chromatographic line Thermo Fischer Scientific series Dionex ICS3000 for the analysis of anions and cations. The previously used autosampler AS has been moved to the line for anion determination with isocratic pump and conductometric and spectrophotometric detectors (range 190-900 nm).

July 2015: a software for pH measurement with interface Radiometer TIM900 and autosampler Radiometer SAC80 has been developed. This software manages and stores all calibrations and stabilization curves of pH for each sample in a database; calibrations and measurements can be customized with methods that can be selected by the operator, by managing for instance waiting time, stability level, choice of the appropriate calibration, number and duration of washing.

Mettler SevExc 1Mettler Toledo SevenExcellence

February 2015: the instrument Mettler Toledo SevenExcellence has been added to the laboratory. It has two different modules for pH measurement (InLab Expert and Routine Pro ISM electrodes) and one module for electrical conductivity with InLab 741 probe (k=10 cm).
